RISM Description

RISM B/IV 1: A 12th century parchment manuscript meas. 230 x 150 mm. and containing ii +110 folios. In addition, there are 3 blank unnumbered paper folios each end. The binding of parchment over boards is modern: the title on the spine is gilt on a red background. The contents are the Latin version by Rufinus of Origen's Homilies on Leviticus. The voice-exchange hymn "Nunc sancte nobis spiritus" appears at the end in a 13th century hand on f. 109 as a monody. The incipit is in slender English neumes tending toward square notation on 10 brown 4-line staves, of which the top one is cut away.
