General Description

Sarum Processional given to Lichfield Cathedral by William Admondeston, Canon 1422-32 (fo. 70v: 'Iste liber est de dono Magistri Willelmi Admondeston canonici ecclesie cathedralis Lychefeld ad perpetuum usum eiusdem ecclesie. Si quis eum alienaverit anathema sit'). On ff. 23-24, alternate verses of the processional psalm Alleluia: Laudate pueri have been erased and replaced with squares marked 'Chorus' in black void mensural notation; the odd-numbered verses are marked 'Organa'.
