General Description

A Bassus partbook from a set of 5 volumes. Copied by a single scribe, who also wrote BudOS 22, BudOS 23, DresSL 1/D/3, DresSL 1/D/4, ZwiR 81/2, and portions of ZwiR 100/4 and DresSL 1/D/506 (SteudeUM). Copied in Wittenberg (SteudeU). Presented by Lazarus Enderlein to Cornelius Freundt in 1554 (inscription at beginning of T book). Freundt (ca. 1535-91) later became cantor at Church of St. Mary, Zwickau; manuscript passed to Zwickau Ratsschulbibliothek following Freundt's death.

Original paper covers; all five books now contained together in modern covers of blue cardboard, with black paper spine. No index. Copied by a single scribe, who also wrote BudOS 22, BudOS 23, DresSL 1/D/3, DresSL 1/D/4, ZwiR 81/2, and portions of ZwiR 100/4 and DresSL 1/D/506 (SteudeUM). No initials or decoration. Watermark: wheel (not in Briquet).
