General Description

A miscellaneous collection of court records and documents, with polyphony. Constitutes Vol. XXV of 'Heath and Verney Papers'. Ff. 1-2 are a single bifolio, 354 x 255, folded in half to form 2 folios, 255 x 177. Only piece of music, 'In willdernys ther fond I Bes' (also in LonBL 5665) is on f. 2', roughly copied, in quasi-score format. Copied in England. Bifolio containing music later owned by the lawyer and judge Sir Robert Heath (1575-1649); eventually included in collected papers of Heath and Verney families acquired by British Museum in 1917.

161 paper folios, of widely varying sizes, now mounted on modern paper sheets, ca. 450 x 330. Modern foliation, 1-161. New covers of red leather on cardboard. This miscellaneous collection constitutes Vol. XXV of "Heath and Verney Papers" (see below). Ff. 1-2 are actually a single bifolio, 354 x 255, folded in half to form 2 folios, 255 x 177. Only piece of music, "In willdernys ther fond I Bes" (also in LonBL 5665) is on f. 2', roughly copied, in quasi-score format.
