General Description

Contains Saints’ lives; extracts from Jacobus de Voragine’s Legenda Aurea; exempla; Robert de Grosseteste, Narracio pro collacione elemosina; sermons; French, Latin and English verses, some with music; liturgical material (including a fragmentary office and a table of epistles and gospels). This section is bound with another miscellany in hands of 16th century (fols 1-114 - see Watson). Copied by several hands, some spread across different parts of the collection. The early foliation shows that some quires have been reordered.
