General Description

Originally 229 folios. Copied by eight scribes: (1) ff. 2-8', 10-40'; (2) f. 41; (3) ff. 43-65; (4) ff. 66'-90'; (5) ff. 92-102, 103-112'; (6) ff. 114-162', 164-187', 189-215', 217-220; (7) ff. 220'-223'; (8) ff. 226-228'. Copied in Stuttgart, for use by court chapel of Ulrich, Duke of Württemberg (1487-1550).

cardboard covered with pressed leather (for stamp see: KYRISS II, nr. 123, in addition to plates 247 and 248, Johannes Zoll, Nachfolger, Tübingen). The back is damaged; repaired in1938. Remains of metal clasps.

218 paper folios of an original 229, 465 x 325. F. 18 and f. 141 now fragmentary, but some music still visible. Modern foliation, 2-228 (ff. 1, 9, 42, 91, 113, 163, 188, 216, 224-225, 229 now missing). Original covers of tooled leather over pasteboard, repaired in 1938, but still in poor condition; remnants of metal clasps. No index. Copied by eight scribes: (1) ff. 2-8', 10-40'; (2) f. 41; (3) ff. 43-65; (4) ff. 66'-90'; (5) ff. 92-102, 103-112'; (6) ff. 114-162', 164-187', 189-215', 217-220; (7) ff. 220'-223'; (8) ff. 226-228'. The anonymous mass starting on fol. 103 is the "Missa Lalahe," based upon Isaac's song Lalahoho. This mass also appears in BasU 26a and b.
