The Masses and Lamentations were copied by a single scribe; the motets were added at the end by a different scribe. From the monastery of Santa Cruz, in Coimbra.

Binding

Covers of light brown blind-tooled leather over boards (similar to those of MM 2, MM 3, MM 7, MM 8, MM 9, MM 26, and MM 44), added when the manuscript was re-bound between 1937 and 1941; before this the manuscript had parchment covers.

i + 84 + i paper folios, 580 x 420. Modern pencil foliation, 2-85; partial original ink foliation, 1-23 and 25-49. Covers of light brown tooled leather, old but not original, similar to those of CoimU 2 and CoimU 9. The Masses and Lamentations were copied by a single scribe; the motets were added at the end by a different scribe. Various types of initials: some black calligraphic, some block red, some small but elaborate calligraphic in red.
