A Sextus partbook from a set originally of eight volumes. Copied by two main scribes, probably monks at St. Zeno Augustinian monastery in Bad Reichenhall; several additional scribes. Most repertory apparently copied from RISM 1558/4, 1564/1-3, 1568/2-6, and prints of individual composers. 'Eximus Dei praesul' ( #clvii of 3rd series, dated 1582) dedicated to Wolfgang Neuhauser, abbot of St. Zeno Augustinian monastery 1562-92; 'Domine Dominus noster' (#cxxxiii of 3rd series) is for St. Zeno. Seven motets honour secular dignitaries, including Albrecht V, Duke of Bavaria; Alfonso II d'Este, Duke of Ferrara; several Holy Roman emperors; and several archdukes of Austria. Copied at St. Zeno Augustinian monastery in Bad Reichenhall (southern Bavaria). Transferred to Bayerische Staatsbibliothek in Munich during early 19th century.
