RISM Description

RISM B/IV 1: A 13th century parchment manuscript (with entries of a later date) meas. 250 x 175 mm. and containing 142 folios plus 4 extra leaves at the front and 2 at the back. This Dublin Troper of the Sarum Use belonged formerly to J. H. Todd S. J.P., Trinity College, Dublin (ex dono Richard Duno, bishop of Connor and Dromoro). The music starts at f. 32 (f. 33 is missing) with 'Mass Ordinaries and their Tro on 12 red four-line staves per page. Initials are in red or blue. The codex is however mainly a sequentiary. The three-part polyphony is a 14th century addition in rough square mensural notation. The rest of the ms is in the usual 13th century square plainsong notation with such English traits as rhombs for breve shapes and the English form of the conjunctura. The binding is of brown velvet, which is wormeaten, though the wormeaten boards have been removed. On the front cover is a gilt crest with 3 mallards.

I would dearly love to be able to view f130 & 130v, but it's blank! Is this a correctable glitch? Thank you. Caitríona O'Leary
