A Tenor partbook from a set of three volumes, each of which consists of the print RISM 1538/8, with manuscript additions in the Tenor and Bassus books. The main scribe was Johann Reinmann, cantor at the Fürstenschule St. Augustin in Grimma from 1550 to 1590; the other scribes were probably students at the school. Many of the pieces were copied from RISM 1540/5. Copied at the Fürstenschule St. Augustin in Grimma; the manuscript remained there until 1890, when it was deposited in the library at Dresden.

The folios in book 1 are in poor condition, and some folios are missing. No original foliation; modern numbering of pieces. Book 1 has modern pasteboard covers; books 2-3 have original parchment covers, in poor condition.
