General Description

An Altus (probably Altus II) partbook from an incomplete set of four volumes; there may have been 8 volumes originally. Copied by several scribes one of whom was Zacharias Zarewutius. From the Church of St. Aegidi in Bártfa (= Bartfeld = Bardejov). Brought to the National Library n Budapest in 1915.

Physical Description

Pages missing at the beginning of all books; the numbering of pieces now begins at 11 (although the D2 book retains the part for no.3 and 3 unnumbered pieces before it). Nos. 19-21, 49, 51 are also missing in all books, and 9(d) has lost all the pieces except nos. 24-31. Several other pieces have missing parts in one or more of the surviving books; and several books have damage to some of the remaining pages.
