General Description

A Discantus partbook from a set of six volumes, each of which consists of the print RISM L805, with manuscript additions following (first 42 folios in each book comprise print; manuscript additions begin on last two folios of print, which originally had blank printed staves). Each book has several sections of folios which are blank, or have blank staves only. Copied by several scribes. Copied in Brieg (= Brzeg). Formerly owned by Brieg Gymnasial-Bibliothek; transferred to present location in 1890.

6 paper partbooks, each consisting of the print RISM L805, with manuscript additions following (D-116 folios, A-132, T-120, B-115, Q-68, S-10), 149 x 204. First 42 folios in each book comprise print; manuscript additions begin on last two folios of print, which originally had blank printed staves. Only folios with manuscript additions included in above count. Some new pencil foliation in D book, inconsistent and inaccurate. Each book has several sections of folios which are blank, or have blank staves only.
