General Description

A Discantus partbook from a set of six volumes, each of which consists of the prints RISM 1585/17, RISM L981, and RISM S2300, with manuscript additions between ther prints. Copied by several scribes; scribal concordances with some other WrocU manuscripts. Copied in Brieg (= Brzeg). Formerly owned by Brieg Gymnasial-Bibliothek; transferred to present location in 1890.

Sporadic new pencil foliation. Ca. 110-130 folios in DATBQ, and ca. 200 folios in S have blank staves only. Original covers of white/tan leather, tooled with ornamental border designs, voice designations, date 1592, and initials "GLB"; metal clasps. No index. Copied by several scribes; scribal concordances with some other WrocU manuscripts described in this catalogue. Inked calligraphic initials; edges of folios tinted red.
