General Description

A Discantus partbook from a set of five volumes, each of which consists of the prints RISM L933, RISM K992, RISM G2588, and Johann Steurlein: XXIIII. Weltliche Gesenge (Erfurt, 1575) with manuscript additions before and after each print. Copied by several scribes; scribal concordances with some other WrocU manuscripts. Copied in Brieg (= Brzeg). Formerly owned by Brieg Gymnasial-Bibliothek; transferred to present location in 1890.

Rebound in modern covers of black cardboard; each book has modern paper flyleaf at front and back. Original parchment covers cut from non-musical manuscript now bound in as second flyleaf at front and penultimate flyleaf at back in all books except Tenor.
