General Description

Sermones Bernardi (Tomus II). A rear guard leaf contains music; front & rear boards have 'mirror image' offsets of pages which FallowsCA suggested were part of MS B 1328 (front board = f. 7v, a motet of Philippe de Vitry,. Lerch instead considers this, and the rear leaf/board, to be different leaves from the same original manuscript. A fragment of the original front leaf remains, left behind when the page was removed. Back leaf and offset: fragment of an otherwise unknown Gloria.

See also Lerch's reconstruction of these and other fragments as 'F-CA(n)'.

General Note

Offset only; apparently unique, though extant offset is extremely damaged, with several lacunae (including the entire left side of the triplum, which must have been visible when Lerch inventoried the Cambrai fragments but which is now covered by the modern binding). Legible words (and fragments thereof) indicate Latin for both upper-voices. Tenor color appears to repeat in diminution, which corresponds to a final extended, untexted hocket section in the upper voices. (Final sonority on F-c-f allows Triplum clef to be surmised as c2, at least at the end of the motet.)
