A partbook containing Discantus, Altus and Tenor parts, from an incomplete set of two volumes. The second half of the books was re-used to copy a set of 4vv hymns by Willaert complete (2vv in each book).
Copied by one main scribe and five or more additional scribes; scribal concordances with PiacD (1), (2), (4), and (5). Probably copied in Piacenza.
Original covers of boards covered with thin parchment cut from chant book
(1) ox head with five-petalled flower (not in Briquet); (2) generally resembles Briquet #6603. Both marks also found in PiacD (4) and (5).

Beata es virgo Maria quae Dominum portasti at 1v is not the Beata es virgo Maria (4vv) by Lheritier but the setting by Verdelot in 7vv. The two compositions have been confused in the DIAMM database. These have now been separated, and the various inventories in which one or the other appears have been updated to show the correct information.
