Original covers of dark brown leather over boards, tooled in gold with voice designations and ornamental oval-shaped design. Incomplete original index on rear flyleaf of A book groups pieces by genre and number of voices ("mottet of 5 pts," "madrigali 5 pts," "mottet of 6 pts," etc.), with subgrouping under each section by order of appearance (pieces listed by folio number only). Copied by one main scribe, with additions by several later hands. Staff height 15. No initials or decoration.
