General Description

An Altus partbook from a set of five volumes. Compositions grouped in several sections by voice number: I (32 pieces a2 (A-Q books) & a3 (C-T-B books), with 3 pieces a5); II (28 pieces a4); III (36 pieces a5); IV (46 pieces a5); V (17 pieces mostly a6); VI (21 pieces a6).

Copied by one main scribe, with additions by several later hands. Copied in England. Owned by Filmer family, of Kent; purchased by Yale University in 1945.
