General Description

An Altus partbook from a set of four volumes. Copied by Martin Besard, a pupil of Heinrich Glareanus (GeerV); Glareanus himself copied Preface in Tenor book, and added attributions and theoretical glosses. Most repertory copied from Petrucci prints; many concordances with SGallS 463. Copied in Basel, under direction of the humanist and theorist Heinrich Glareanus (1488-1563). Subsequent history same as for MunU 239.
