General Description

Appended to print Franchini Gafurii … de Harmonia Mustcorum Instrumentum Opus (Milan, 1518). Copied by four or five scribes, one of whom ('Petrus Scudus' = Peter Tschudi) is named on f. 10'. Copied in Basel, probably by students of the humanist and theorist Heinrich Glareanus (1488-1563). Glareanus library sold in 1561 to Johann Egolph von Knöringen (1537-75), a canon at Augsburg Cathedral, later Bishop of Augsburg; books moved to Augsburg after Glareanus' death. Passed to university library in Ingolstadt in 1573; moved to Landshut in 1800, to Munich in 1826.
