General Description

A collection of music for Holy Week. Scribe A copied ff. 1-81, B copied ff. 81'-95 (10 of Corteccia's responsories, copied after 1562), C copied ff. 95'-96, D copied ff. 96'-97, E copied ff. 97'-103. Scribe B, a certain 'Michael' (=Michele Federighi), was the main scribe of FlorD 46, and also copied FlorL Med. Pal. 7 (Rifkin). SutC considered all of the anonymous pieces in the manuscript to be by Corteccia; however, the identification of the psalm on ff. 64'-69 as a work of Jaquet of Mantua suggests the need for caution in this assumption. Copied in Florence.
