General Description

A cycles of mass propers by Corteccia, with hymns by him and other additions. The main scribe was a 'Michael' (=Michele Federighi), who also copied FlorL Med. Pal. 7 and ff. 81'-95 of FlorD 45 (Rifkin) and one piece in FlorSL O; additions in many later hands. The hymns in this manuscript were probably copied directly from FlorL Med. Pal. 7 (SutC). Copied in Florence.

Original covers of parchment glued over pasteboard, with inscription "Introiti" on front. Index on f. i. The main scribe was a certain "Michael," who also copied FlorL Med. Pal. 7 and ff. 81'-95 of FlorD 45 (Rifkin); additions in several later hands. The hymns in this manuscript were probably copied directly from FlorL Med. Pal. 7 (SutC). Inked calligraphic initials. Watermark similar to Briquet #6293.

Original covers of parchment glued over pasteboard, with inscription "Introiti" on front. The main scribe was Michele Federighi, prior at Church of San Lorenzo, Florence, and a pupil and friend of Corteccia; Federighi also wrote FlorL Med. Pal. 7, most of FlorSL C, ff. 81'-95 of FlorD 45, and one piece in FlorSL O. Later additions by several other scribes. Inked calligraphic initials. Watermark resembles Briquet #6293 (Crawford).
