General Description

This manuscript was probably the 'Primus Tomus' of the set of four (of an original seven) choirbooks copied by Johannes Härtung; the last piece was added by another scribe, probably Caspar Othmayr, who was at Heilsbronn in 1545. Copied at the Cistercian monastery in Heilsbronn. The repertory, however, is Lutheran, reflecting the sympathetic attitude toward the Reformation at the monastery. Brought to Erlangen in the 18th century.
