General Description

A Discantus partbook from an incomplete set of three volumes. Copied by several scribes. Originated at the Löbau Latin school. The manuscript was at one time in the Löbau Ratsbibliothek, but was deposited at the library in Dresden in 1890.

3 paper partbooks, each consisting of the print RISM 1549/1, with manuscript additions (DAT-condition too poor to count folios), 145 x 200. The books are incomplete and in very poor condition. Some original numbering of pieces. Copied by several scribes.

Part I: ca. 1560-70; Part II: ca. 1665 (SteudeMS). Originated at the Löbau Latin school. The manuscript was at one time in the Löbau Ratsbibliothek, but was deposited at the library in Dresden in 1890.
