General Description

According to a communication between D. Plamenac and S. Giustina (Padua), this MS s a truncated portion of Matthew's Gospel with dense commentary (old sig. of the inventory: 56). The paper title page (f. 1r), of the 15th Century portion, contains an incomplete and partly inaccurate and inexact T. voice Incipit (list no. 1) in two versions.

RISM B/IV 4: 14. Jh.; 64 Blätter Pergament mit Papier Vorsatzblatt, 280 x 180 mm. Ohne Foliierung - Einband: 15. Jh.; mit dunkelbraunem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel.

Diese Handschrift ist nach brieflicher Mitteilung von D. Plamenac ein aus S. Giustina (Padua) stammendes Matthäus-Evangelium mit reichem Kommentar (alte Sign. des Inventars: 56). Das Papier-Vorsatzblatt (f. 1r) des 15. Jh. enthält die unvollständige, zum Teil fehlerhafte und unsorgfältige T.-Stimme von Incipitverzeichnis Nr. 1 in zwei Fassungen.

Tenor only, cantus never copied. Used as the music for the lauda Colla ment' e col cor peccator fiso in Chigi 266, f. 71 and Riccardiana 1764, f. 86v. Two different tenor incipits counted as one attempt at copying.
