General Description

Composite of two originally separate manuscripts brought together by Jacob Salandronius c. 1885. Part I = new ff. 1-8; Part II = new ff. 9-12. Part I copied by Jacob Salandronius (KmetzH); Part II copied by a single, unidentified scribe. Second part probably originated in Basel. Both manuscripts owned by Jacob Salandronius (= Jacob Salzmann), employed at School of St. Theodore, Basel (inscription on f. 1). Delivered by Salandronius' son to Matthias Brodbeck, also of Basel (inscription on f. 1: 'Matis brotbeck in der cleinen stat').

i + 12 + i paper folios, 312 x 219. New pencil foliation. New paper covers. No index. Inscription: "Venerabili magistro Jacobo Salandronio, ludi magistro scolae divi Theodori. Matis brotbeck in der cleinen stat."

Early 16th century. Manuscript is in two parts, brought together as a single volume ca. 1885; second part probably originated in Basel, in the first third of the 16th century.
