General Description

Choirbook, iIn three sections: I, ff. 1-159; II, ff. 159'160; III, ff. 160'-182. Part II consists of three instrumental dances and two motets from the late 17th century which have been added between parts I and III; the same scribe added 3 fragmentary pieces on ff. 168v-169. Part III largely contains pieces by maestri di capilla from Urgell in the early- to mid-17th century: Riquet (1598-1616), Aranyes (1627-34) and Andreu (1638-46). Copied by several scribes. From the Cathedral of Urgell.

Section I copied by a single scribe; section III by 3 scribes one of whom may have been Aranyes.
