General Description

A single Discantus partbook of a set of 5 (the remaining partbooks in BolC Q27 are unrelated). Probably copied in Bologna (Rifkin). THe main body of the ms was copied by a single scribe (c.1520 - Fenlon/Haar) with the later addition in the first half of the sixteenth century of Verdelot's madrigal.

BolC Q27 is a composite manuscript made up of five partbooks, of which this is the second. Only the first and second books, which are unrelated to each other, contain repertory relevant to this catalogue.
