RISM Description

RISM BIV/4: 14./15. Jh.; 168 Blätter Papier + je 1 Vorsatz- und Nachstoßblatt, 295 x 215 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-169. - Einband: mit gelblichem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel.

Diese um 1384 geschriebene und aus der Breslauer Kirche St. Elisabeth stammende Handschrift enthält Bibeltexte, theologische Traktate und Sermones. Nur die auf den inneren Seiten der Deckel aufgeklebten Blätter, die wohl ins 15. Jh. gehören, enthalten in schwarzer Mensuralnotation auf 8 Fünfliniensystemen aufgezeichnete Musik. Auf Vorsatzblatt 1r unten, lv und f. 169r oben stehen 2 im Incipitverzeichnis nicht berücksichtigte einstimmige Stücke.

Original covers of light brown tooled leather over wooden boards; clasps missing. Polyphony on flyleaves, copied in black mensural notation by a single scribe. No initials or decoration.

Ca. 1430 or earlier (FeldM). Copied in Breslau (Wrocław), for use at Church of St. Elizabeth (FeldM); later used as flyleaves in present volume.
