General Description

Polyphony copied in an Icelandic MS containing mainly spiritual songs and psalms with monophonic Icelandic and Latin texts. The polyphonic pieces start on f. 124. Written in several hands of the 17th Century.

RISM BIV/3: 17. Jh.; 130 Blätter Papier, 164 x 100 mm. Moderne Foliierung von f. 1-130. Je Seite bis zu 13 schwarze Vier- oder Fünfliniensysteme mit schwarzer Quadratnotation und weißer Mensuralnotation - Einband: modern.

Diese aus Island stammende, von mehreren Händen geschriebene Handschrift des 17. Jh. enthält vorwiegend geistliche einstimmige Lieder und Psalmen mit isld. und lat. Texten. Die mehrstimmige Stücke finden sich ab f. 124.
