General Description

Three of the polyphonic pieces are on the flyleaves, and one is in the corpus of this mostly monophonic Gradual. From the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta, in Cividale del Friuli.

RISM Description

Gradual of 215 folios in total plus 4 flyleaves. Original foliation from f.I-CCVIIbis; modern foliation from f.209-215. Corpus has 11 red 4-line staves per page, flyleaves have 10 4- or 5 -line staves. 15th century brown leather binding over wooden boards, blind tooling.

RISM B/IV 4: 15. Jh.; 215 Blätter Pergament + 4 Vorsatzblätter, 275 x 203 mm. Originale Foliierung von f. I-CCVII (bis), anschließend moderne Foliierung von f. 209-215. Je Seite des Hauptcorpus 11 rote Vierliniensysteme mit Quadratnotation; Vorsatzblätter: je Seite 10 Vier- oder Fünfliniensysteme mit schwarzer Mensuralnotation des 15. Jh. und Quadratnotation - Einband: 15. Jh. (?) mit braunem Leder überzogene Holzdeckel, Blindpressung, Beschläge und Schließen.

Dieses aus dem Dom von Cividale stammende Graduale wurde vermutlich im frühen 15. Jh. geschrieben. Das Hauptcorpus enthält nur ein mehrstimmiges Stück (Incipitverzeichnis Nr. 3). Nr. 1 und 2 stehen auf den Vorsatzblätter, auf denen sich zudem ein einstimmiges Kyrie fons bonitatis, ein einstimmiges, jedoch mensuriertes Patrem und ein Alleluia finden.
