General Description

Apparently the only surviving remnants of larger musical manuscript; present bifolios definitely contiguous in original manuscript, despite unusual inconsistencies in format. First Mass in choirbook format; second in partbook format (bassus only). Each Mass copied by a different scribe. Probably of German or Austrian origin.

Recovered from binding of MS 355 in this library ('Expositio verborum orationis Salve Regina'); now preserved separately.

4 paper folios (= 2 bifolios), 205 x 140, recovered from binding of MS 355 in this library ("Expositio verborum orationis Salve Regina"); now preserved separately. Apparently the only surviving remnants of larger musical manuscript; present bifolios definitely contiguous in original manuscript, despite unusual inconsistencies in format (see below). No original foliation remains. Each Mass copied by a different scribe. First Mass in choirbook format; second in partbook format (bassus only). No initials or decoration. Watermark present, but not clearly visible.

Late 15th century. Probably of German or Austrian origin.
