General Note
Although the Trent tenor bears some resemblance to that of Fontaine's song in Escorial A, Oxford and Bologna Q 15, it is in a different mensuration and has a different melodic shape and rhythm. This seems to be a new composition, using a variation of the other Tenor, perhaps setting the same song text. (Clemens Goldberg)
