Title page on f. [i] has dedication to Manuel Joseph de Quirós, chapelmaster at Guatemala Cathedral in middle decades of 18th century; inscription explains that some Masses (nos. 6-9 & 15-16) were copied from 1602 choirbook written by Gaspar Fernandes (chapelmaster at Guatemala Cathedral).
