Contains a Hymnary from the Abbey of Moissac (published in the Analecta hymnica II (1888)). Music is scattered throughout the volume, but is also often missing.. A hymn to St. Martial on f. 24 gives the tempus ante quem non for the source, namely after the council of 1031 at Limoges. The codex also includes Benedicamus domino tropes and sequences. The polyphony appears in a textless setting at the foot of f. 12-12v, and is notated as a series of dots in two parts separated by a line. Above the polyphony on f. 12 is the text Pange linga gloriosi, which also runs on to f. 12v.

RISM Description
RISM B/IV 2: A late 11th or early 12th century parchment manuscript meas. 230 x 140 mm. and containing 107 folios + 4 blank unnumbered 19th century paper fly-leaves at each end and 1 grey paper flyleaf belonging to the binding at the very beginning and end. The foliation at b.r.r. is in the typical Vatican printed numbering of the 19th century. The codex contains a Hymnary from the Abbey of Moissac, which has been published in the Analecta hymnica II (1888). Music in staffless Aquitanian point neumes is scattered throughout the volume, but is also often missing. The script is a Carolingian minuscule with initials in red, or red alternating with black. There are some additions in a smaller script on f. 84v-85, for example. The binding of brown leather over pulp boards with gilt and blind tooling is typical of the Rossi codices. At the top of the spine in gilt letters are the following words: "CANTICA || ET HYMNI || ADIECTIS || NOTIS MUS.", and at the bottom "COD. MEBR. || SAEC. X". 12v. There also appears to be some two-part music at the foot of f. 9, but this is almost illegible.
