General Description

Church of England Liturgy and ritual. Order of prayer on Wednesdays and Fridays printed in 1580. The wrapper is part of a parchment bifolium of a service book, the first leaf in the booklet has some music on it, probably 16th century.

Physical Description

The whole of the contents is in extremely bad condition, many leaves have disintegrated into uncountable tiny fragments, and damage has been repaired very inexpertly with what appears to be sticky paper and the remains of a letter.

The 'indecipherable' piece has been re-named 'Psalm 46' & treated as a unicum; an 'item note' added (as there is not a suitable place on 'composition') to record "This is a setting of Psalm 46, the text as given in John Day's Whole Booke of Psalmes (1562).
