Two irregular fragments of slate bearing incised musical symbols. Slate 1 has two short passages in mensural notation. The shape of the surviving fragment suggests that these two short passages are both sections of a single voice in a polyphonic composition. The notational style is that of the mid-15th century; there is no text. Slate 2 is not related to slate 1 either physically or musically, but identical in execution and period. No text.
