General Description

Offset from former neighboring flyleaves preserved in situ in a 1483 incunabulum (Roberti Holkot, Commentarius in librum Sapientiae). Of the three folio sides with offset, one preserves large legible portions of Latin text and music in black void mensural notation on black five-line staves. A few minims on the upper stave lines have been drawn with downward tails. Voice parts appear to be unica.

This fragment was discovered by Eva Veselovská as part of the Institute of Musicology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences’ Recycled Medieval Musical Fragments of the Augustinian Abbey in Klosterneuburg project and is published at the Medieval Music Manuscripts from Austrian Monasteries (MMMAM) database (external link to images, above).
