General Description

A parchment leaf repurposed as a book cover wrapper containing fragments of at least two voice parts from a polyphonic passion play. (The fragment is still in situ, so the pasted-down verso is not visible.) The CL shelfmark indicates the host volume originally came from one of the monastic libraries of Ittingen, Fischingen, Kreuzlingen or St. Katharinental, which the Kantonsbibliothek acquired in the mid-19th century. This source was discovered and first described by Fergus Bovill, 2025, as part of the Fragmenta Thurgoviana fragment cataloguing project.
