Liminary Note
On no.41, "Bassone can[t]ato dalla parte più basce del. 40 Persona nimero descircalo con un bronbone (sic) No. 41. per sostentamento dell armonia persona riscon Orgono Ludo & cimboli o uiole" (perhaps written by someone who did not speak Italian!)
Date
Inscription at end of the b.c. (no.41) has the date hidden in a motto text: "Anno. o DeVs aVXILIVM fer qVoqVe ferre potes" i.e. DVVXILIVMVV = MDLXVVVVVII = MDLXXXVII (1587)
