General Description

Various folios recovered from bindings of various books in this library; now preserved in modern guard book. Ff. 2-3 are apparently the only surviving remnants of a choirbook copied by a Netherlands court scribe (Kellman); Warmington identifies the music scribe C2 and text scribe X (KellmanTO). Copied in Brussels/Mechlin; belongs to Netherlands court complex (Keilman). Later used as covers of catalogue of Vienna Royal Library, prepared in Vienna in 1607 and presented to Bodleian Library by Sir Henry Saville in 1620 (= MS Auct.F.Inf. 1.12). Music discovered in 1979 by Dr. Bruce Barker-Benfield.
