General Description

A single repurposed parchment leaf, folded vertically and used as the cover for a baptism register for the town of Carcès. The leaf largely contains monophonic liturgical music notated mensurally on red 5-line staves. There is, however, one short two-voice polyphonic Amen in the middle of the recto side of the leaf, identified by Michael Scott Cuthbert, which concludes the preceding unidentified rhythmicized chant. This is followed by the troped Kyrie Humano Genere (monophonic), which continues on the verso of the leaf. Discovered by Richard Dudas. August 2021.
