General Description

Cistercian Gradual from the Abbey of Cadouin (Le-Buisson-de-Cadouin, Dordogne, France), containing a unique setting of Revera mirabile on f.36v-37 that concludes with a 2-part polyphonic Amen on f.37v (modern pencil foliation – originally f.78v according to the roman numeral foliation in the top margin). The archive has dated the chant book to ca. 1320-1325 due to its inclusion of chants for the feast of Corpus Christi, which the Cistercians adopted in 1320.
