General Description

Seventeen paper fragments removed from the binding of a 1516 register from Notre Dame de Losne (21 H 16 in the same archive), discovered by Alain Cessot and identified by Michel Sanvoisin in 2016. Only 8 fragments are large enough to contain legible music.

These fragments include concordances of chansons by Pierre de la Rue – Dicte moi bergere par ou passerai ge and Pourquoi non ne veuil je morir – in addition to a Credo and Conditor alme siderum setting.

The fragments were separated in 2017-2018 and laid down so that rectos and versos are both legible.
