Original covers of parchment cut from non-musical manuscript. No index. Copied by one or two main scribes; last two motets added later by different hand. Staff height 15. Some inked Gothic initials. Unidentified watermark: letter "C"(?).
Part II: 2 paper partbooks (D-19 folios, A-20), 160 x 210. No foliation; last 8 folios in each book are blank. Original ink numbering of pieces, 1-13. No covers; modern string ties hold folios together. No index. Copied by a single scribe. Staff height ca. 16. Small inked calligraphic initials. Watermark resembles Briquet #196.
Second half of 16th century. Presumably of German origin. Part II apparently owned by Guilielmi Lohns (inscription at beginning of A book). Both parts formerly owned by Jesuit library in Cologne; later transferred to Cologne Gymnasial-bibliothek, then to present library.
