An Altus partbook from a set of four volumes. Two layers, each copied by a different hand; scribe of second layer (texts and initials only?) possibly Francesco Sforza, Marchese di Varzi (1562-1624), an ecclesiastical dignitary at the Church of Santa Barbara in Mantua; Sforza also copied MilC 167 and MilC 168 (see CrawFS). Many concordances with MilC 168. Copied in Mantua, for use at the Church of Santa Barbara (the Gonzaga ducal chapel). Further on Santa Barbara collection under MilC 12.
