Original brown leather with gold detailing and decoration; 'Edwardus Paston' printed on front & rear cover. Spine has British Library label 'Lute Music' etc
Foliation
original ink foliation 1-104 (beginning with the music) omitting 14-15, 47-49, 52-54; modern pencil foliation 1-99 includes folios with indices. Where the two foliations coincide the modern pencil annotations are generally omitted.
