A Bassus partbook from a set originally of four volumes. Copied by a single scribe. Of German origin; perhaps copied in Stuttgart or vicinity. Owned by the musicologist and collector Werner Wolffheim (1877-1930). Offered for sale at 1929 auction of Wolffheim's library, conducted by Breslauer & Liepmannssohn Antiquariat, Berlin; subsequently purchased by Preussische Staatsbibliothek, Berlin.
