General Description

A collection of manuscripts & printed texts all found under the same call number, bound in a folio volume & paper covers. 166 leaves in all. See bibliography for details.

At the end of the volume are 13 leaves from a range of sources: 153-156v are four fragmentary leaves of late-14th century songs; 157r-v contain a 14th century Credo & Gloria in black notation; 158r-v contain 2 early 14th century motets; 159-166v is a longer sequence of mid-15th century sacred music in white notation with black coloration, in at least 2 hands.

Ff 153-156 are each half a leaf, possibly used as binding materials after being cut in two, forming two original leaves; in very poor condition, each is 185/200mm x 138/142mm. 156r-v & 154r-v form one leaf, 153r-v & 155v-r the other (note that verso & recto of 155 are reversed).
