General Description

Copied by Johannes Dreher. From the Benedictine monastery of SS Ulrich and Afra Augsburg. Contrary to Boetticher's view (BoetticherL, 646), Lasso as a candidate as the author of the psalms cannot be ruled out.

Binding

bright leather cover (stamp see KyrissAB, 156 Nos 2, 5-7). On the front cover, impressed, are the words 'Vespertina Maiorum Solemnitatum Psalmodia Quator Et Quinque Vocum Decantanda Anno Salutis Humane MDLXXXIIII'; on the back 'Psalmodia Vespertina 4tuor et 5que Vocibus and V' and in red pencil 'Hymni'. Remnants of four green cloth clasps; two torn off leather tabs on the edges.

F. 237r is the title page (description in Tonkunst Schletterer 1, but with coat of arms of Abbot Jacob Köpplin); f.3r has the coat of arms of Abbot Köpplin
